Job 1:5
And it was so, when the days (time period in general) of their feasting (drinking) were gone about (complete), that Job sent and sanctified (consecrate, set appart - to be hallowed) then, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned (miss the way, go wrong), and cursed (to bless oneself?) God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

And his sons (as a characterisation, i.e. sons of injustice [for un-righteous men]) went (to go, walk, come, depart, proceed, move, go away) and feasted (drank) (* to act, act with effect, effect) in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and drink wtih them.

Job 1:3
His substance (posessions) also was seven thousand (the number for a "company") sheep (simile: multitude, metaphor: of multitude) and three thousand camels (beast of burden forbidden for food), and five hundred yoke (couple, pair, team) of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very (exceedingly, much) great (abundant, enough) household (servants); so that this man (human being, in contrast to God) was the greatest (distinguished of men) of all the men of the east (of ancient time, from of old).

Job 1:2
Job 1:1 can be found on my main blog, http://www.troublealwayshasadoor.blogspot.com
Typically with bible study I am on again, off again. I will do it for a while and then quit so we'll see how long this lasts. I was just encouraged the other day when A.G. said that "a holy habit becomes a pattern." and God only knows I could use some good patterns in my life and some good habits! Also, it seems I've been struggling so long with my Faith in regards to my health and I've felt like the bible has this huge imaginary sign on it saying : beware, I bring promises that aren't for you. I know that's not true, but that's my sense. I decided that Job would be somebody I could relate to......so here goes.........
Job 1:2
And there were born (-interesting meaning:to bear meaning of wicked bringing forth iniquity, but i don't think that's what this means...) unto him seven (seven is a male #) sons (pronounced ben) and three (pron. shalowsh) daughters (pron. bath, ha!!! ...it can be a polite way to address someone or a description of character).

Backing Up Your Blog
www.flickr.com |
Once again, its problems, problems, problems with Blogger's photo uploader. So yesterday evening on my Trouble blog, and today right here, I've had to rely on flickr. It's just not my first choice of photo insertion tools.
I was visitng Chuck's BloggerStatusForReal site yesterday and he suggests backing up your blog, especially when you make changes to your template.
With all the problems I've been having lately, I thought that was an excellent idea!
He had already helped me instal HTrack, so I just opened that up and ran it again. It took 23min. or so, so do it when you have time. I am also going to copy and paste my template to Word. This way, I've got two databases with my blog info if for any reason I have to rebuild it myself....GOD FORBID!!!!
